Upgrading login in KK2

On Friday, September 11th between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM, we will be upgrading the login solution in KK2. During this time, login may be unstable at times.

What are we changing?

KK2 is moving from Microsoft Azure AD B2C to Microsoft Entra External ID , which is Microsoft's new platform for login and identity for external users.

Azure AD B2C is a solution we have used for many years, but Microsoft has now moved further development of this type of service to Entra External ID. The transition means that KK2 will continue to use Microsoft's modern platform going forward, while also giving us access to newer security and login functionality.

In connection with the transition, we have also modernized the authentication solution itself in KK2.

You keep your username and password.

For the vast majority of people, the transition will not require any action.

When your account is converted, your sign-in will move from one Microsoft service to another. You'll keep your current password and can continue to sign in as before.

The first time you log in after the transition, you will receive an email confirming that your account has been registered in the new login solution.

Passkey support

The new solution also gives us support for passkey – a modern and secure way to log in without entering a password and one-time code every time.

After the transition, you can add a passkey by opening your profile in the top right corner of KK2 .

Two-factor authentication needs to be set up again.

Existing two-factor setups cannot be moved from Azure AD B2C to Entra External ID.

After the transition is completed on Friday, the existing KK2 entry in your authentication app will no longer be used. This can be deleted from the authentication app after the transition. If you have other accounts in the same authentication app, these should of course not be deleted.

We will wait approximately one week after the conversion before requiring additional security at login again.

When the requirement is activated, at your next login you will be asked to either:

set up two-factor authentication again , or
use a passkey if you have already registered this.

You don't have to wait for the requirement to be activated. If you wish, you can voluntarily set up a new two-factor or passkey after your account is converted on Friday .

The important thing is that the current two-factor setup cannot be continued in any case and must be registered again if you want to use two-factor in the new solution.

Friday 3:00 PM–6:00 PM

The actual transition will take place on Friday, September 11th between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM. KK2 will be available, but login may be unstable during parts of the period .

If you have critical changes or work that absolutely must be carried out in KK2 during this time, you can contact CTO on 481 19 912 .

Beyond this, you don't need to do anything in advance of the transition.
